Join us for a meaningful midday event supporting local students and helping empower the next generation of leaders, dreamers, and doers.

This fundraiser helps bring financial literacy programs—like the incredible JA BizTown—to PSD. If you’re not familiar, BizTown is a hands-on, simulated town where 4th–6th graders become everything from business owners to bank tellers to mayor-for-a-day. It’s an unforgettable experience that teaches financial literacy, leadership, and teamwork.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Purchase a table for $400 to show your support
  • Connect with 1,000+ Peninsula School District staff at their annual pep rally
  • Bring a raffle basket to showcase your business
  • All proceeds support PSD financial literacy programs

Let’s come together to invest in the future of our youth—and inspire success beyond the classroom.

Tacoma Minimum Wage & Restrictive Workplace Mandates - An Urgent Message from the Washington Retail Association

Thank you to the many business owners and workers who stood up and spoke out against Measure 2 at the Tacoma City Council Community Forum on July 22.

Your powerful testimonies were heard—Council members and their staff took notice and are now asking for more input.

Now is the critical time to act. Contact the Tacoma City Council today and urge them to offer a more balanced, workable alternative—one that supports both workers and local businesses. Measure 2, with its extreme wage mandates and restrictive workplace rules, would have far-reaching consequences for our local economy. Your voice matters. Take action now and help shape Tacoma’s future.

The Washington State Department of Commerce just launched the Revenue-Based Financing Fund loan program for small business. This program is an alternative to a traditional bank loan, with repayments that are customized to a business’s needs and tailored to the business’s net income. It’s especially helpful for seasonal businesses, such as event venues, florists, caterers and tourism-focused enterprise. To discuss these options and decide if the Revenue-Based Financing Fund is an appropriate avenue for your business, contact KitsapKitsapSBDC@wwu.edu.

L&I's Consultation Program offers confidential, no-fee, professional advice and assistance to Washington businesses. These services can help you find and fix hazards in your workplace and strengthen your safety program.
