Billionaires At Play: Stay Clear Or Get Engaged In Space Tech?


Having made enormous fortunes on Earth, billionaires are now racing each other to space. Former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, the richest person on the planet was one of four “space tourists” on his private space company Blue Origin’s inaugural human spaceflight that successfully completed on July 20, 2021, the anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Virgin Galactic owner Richard Branson to speed up his own planned space trip and launch himself into space, nine days before Bezos on July 11th. How will this pan out for aerospace engineering, Space tourism and Space Tech opportunities for all of us?

Dr. Bansal’s ‘Solo Flight Around The World With Purpose’


Dr. Ravi Bansal gave an enlightening talk about his life experiences on July 17 2021. Ved Muthusamy, a Michigan based high schooler had come into the discussion with a decent knowledge of Dr. Bansal and his accomplishments, but according to him, this discussion blew all of those out of the water. In this article, he shares a summary. By emphasizing humility, reflection, and rich details, Dr. Bansal headlined one of the most enjoyable and learning events at ASEI. Interviewing Dr. Bansal was ASEI Michigan Chapter president Mr. Muthu Sivanantham who happens to share the same alma mater MNNIT, India with Dr. Bansal.
