Meet
Miracle Baby Saybie
born at 23 weeks in late December 2018. Baby Saybie is the
smallest surviving baby
weighing just 8.6 ounces at birth. After 5 months in the NICU this tiny Miracle went home weighing over 5 pounds.
Saybieâs mom is âover the moon to have my baby home and to be able to see her every second of my day. We are finally together as a familyâ. Saybieâs mom is thankful for the assistance she received from Miracle Babies reducing some of her stress. She also appreciated the Miracle Hours bringing together NICU parents and allowing them to connect and gain support from each other.
We are so happy for Saybie and her parents and canât wait to see her grow!

Thank you to AMN Healthcare for generously assembling and donating care package contents. Clinical nurse managers from across the country were in San Diego recently and assembled nearly 100 care packages to be delivered to NICUs across San Diego county. These care bags contain comfort items and information intended to support parents who spend countless hours in the NICU with their babies.
Thank you, AMN!

On Tuesday, May 14 a group of Miracle Babies supporters participated in "Sip and Shop for a Cause," hosted by Madaluxe Vault Boutique in San Clemente. Thank you to Madaluxe Vault and our generous supporters for helping to raise nearly
$2,000
for Miracle Babies!
|
|
Thanks to our generous supporters, Miracle Babies had this impact in May 2019:
- $20,100 awarded to 54 families in need in San Diego and Orange County. By removing financial barriers and providing key resources during the weeks following a childâs birth, we have the potential to positively impact health outcomes for an entire generation of children!
- 60+ parents participated in 7 hosted âMiracle Hoursâ. Parents enjoyed a meal, participated in crafts, and most importantly, escaped the isolation of the NICU â if only for any hour.
- 175 care packages were delivered to 8 hospitals. These packages were delivered to parents with babies in the NICU, regardless of need. These packages contain contents intended to support parents who spend considerable time in the NICU breastfeeding and providing âkangaroo careâ.

Meet Olga Liebl
Miracle Babies Event and Special Projects Coordinator
|
|
After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from UCSD, Olga knew that she wanted to work in any capacity where she could have a positive influence on society. Olga worked as a Youth Counselor for about seven years, first at the San Diego Center for Children and then at Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma. In between those jobs, Olga spent two years in her home country, the Czech Republic, where she taught English and connected with her family and roots. Olga began working at Miracle Babies in December 2017 â she is grateful to be a part of an organization which has such a positive impact on the lives of families facing such a difficult time.
