Thanks to our generous supporters, Miracle Babies had this impact in June 2019:

  • $19,050 awarded to 50 families in need in San Diego and Orange County. By removing financial barriers and providing key resources during the weeks following a child’s birth, we have the potential to positively impact health outcomes for an entire generation of children!

  • 65+ parents participated in 7 hosted “Miracle Hours”.  Parents enjoyed a meal, participated in crafts, and most importantly, escaped the isolation of the NICU – if only for any hour.

  • 205 care packages were delivered to 8 hospitals. These packages were delivered to parents with babies in the NICU, regardless of need. These packages contain contents intended to support parents who spend considerable time in the NICU breastfeeding and providing “kangaroo care”.

Miracle Baby Elijah was born on June 21st, 2013. Elijah was born at 30 weeks weighing just 1 pound and 12 ounces and spending his first 91 days of life in the the NICU. At one month old and not quite 2 pounds Elijah was diagnosed with NEC. Due to the silent aggression of this fatal infection his parents were informed that Elijah may not live past 24 hrs and to prepare for the worst. Thankfully the next day his parents were informed he made it though the night and hoped for the best and a good recovery. After surgery Elijah thrived and was able to go home after 91 days in the NICU. Elijah's parents are incredibly grateful for the assistance they received from Miracle Babies during their darkest days. Elijah turned 6 this June and aside from his surgery and some delays when he was younger he’s a typical boy running, playing, and no one would ever know that he was born 1lb 12 oz.
Each month, “Special Delivery” will spotlight a “Miracle Worker” – someone who contributes to make Miracle Babies great!
Meet Jeff and Emily Wilcox
The Wilcox's began Fayfaire Clothing Co right after their daughter Faye was born in 2015. What started as a side hustle grew very quickly into our family business. They knew they wanted to give back and began looking for a charity to partner with. One of their Instagram influencers knew of Miracle Babies because she had a preemie and received a care package. Jeff and Emily loved learning about the amazing work Miracle Babies does and knew they wanted to contribute. They worked with the Miracle Babies team to develop a custom designed baby onesie that would go into each care package. They've donated more than 3,000 onesies so far and are excited to watch that number grow, since it means more families are being assisted. The Wilcox family has grown as well—Faye is now 4 years old and her little brother, Jude, is 1. Despite the growth in their business and family, one thing remains the same: Faye still thinks she’s in charge! Thank you Jeff and Emily for your continued support!
