Miracle Babies has spent the last decade assisting families with critically ill newborns. We are serving more than 3000 families each year through our programs. Our service to families continues to grow year after year. We need your support to continue to expand, and increase this much needed support for families experiencing the unexpected hardships and challenges that come with having a hospitalized newborn.

Please join us on Saturday, October 26th as we celebrate a "Decade of Giving"

Spreading Cheer in July

KUSI Promoted Christmas in July

Our Chief Operating Officer, Marianela Camarillo , and Miracle Mom, Heather Imeson were welcomed by KUSI this past month. They spread the word about our annual "Christmas in July" which helps replenish our supplies of diapers, board books and gas cards. These are some of the essentials Miracle Babies gives out to families with hospitalized newborns.

You can still contribute by going to our Wish List on Amazon Smile.
CBS Also Supports Christmas in July

Our fabulous COO, Marianela Camarillo welcomed Miracle Mom Ashley Improta to the media to help promote Christmas in July. Ashley's daughter, Loretta, was born seven weeks early with Ebstein's Anomaly, a congenital heart defect that happens early in the development of a baby's heart. Our founder, Dr. Sean Daneshmand, was Ashley's doctor during this scary time.

Thank you Distroller
Thank you to Distroller for donating to our “Christmas in July” campaign. Miracle Babies was able to gift "neonates" to parents with hospitalized newborns this past month and they were a hit!

Event includes a 5K course perfect for runners, walkers, and strollers of all levels, a merchant and resource fair, a Diaper Dash race for kids ages 2 and under, a KidZone featuring a bounce house, obstacle course, games, crafts, exotic cars, superheroes, and more!
Thanks to our generous supporters, Miracle Babies had this impact in July 2019:

  • $24,950 awarded to 63 families in need in San Diego and Orange County. By removing financial barriers and providing key resources during the weeks following a child’s birth, we have the potential to positively impact health outcomes for an entire generation of children!

  • 55+ parents participated in 7 hosted “Miracle Hours”.  Parents enjoyed a meal, participated in crafts, and most importantly, escaped the isolation of the NICU – if only for any hour.

  • 215 care packages were delivered to 9 hospitals. These packages were delivered to parents with babies in the NICU, regardless of need. These packages contain contents intended to support parents who spend considerable time in the NICU breastfeeding and providing “kangaroo care”.

MIRACLE OF THE MONTH
Meet Miracle Baby Christopher diagnosed with IUGR, when his mom was 25 weeks pregnant. Baby Christopher was measuring as if he was only 17 weeks. Due to his growth restrictions doctors decided to deliver Christopher at 32 weeks. He spent his first 5 weeks of life in the NICU unable to be held until he was one week old due to a collapsed lung. Miracle Mom Gizzelle is grateful to Miracle Babies for providing financial assistance and a holiday care package to her when her son was in the NICU. Today, two year old Christopher's greatest pleasure is going to Harley Davidson, to check out the bikes, and Gizzelle assists Miracle Babies in delivering care packages to parents in the NICU now.
MIRACLE WORKER
Each month, “Special Delivery” will spotlight a “Miracle Worker” – someone who contributes to make Miracle Babies great!
Meet Alanna Serritella
Meet Miracle Babies office and program volunteer Alanna. Alanna, recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During nursing school she discovered a strong passion for the mother baby population. During her final semester she interned in the NICU which truly solidified her desire to serve the NICU population. Alanna loves being able to provide support for families while attending to the needs of the infant, all while watching them grow through their NICU journey! Alanna states "I feel fortunate to have discovered Miracle Babies working with this organization and to have the opportunity to contribute to all the wonderful work they do to help NICU families!" Miracle Babies appreciates Alanna's weekly support in our office and at hospital Miracle Hours.
