Street Names
Jamboree Road (OC) - In 1953 the Boy Scouts of America held their 3rd National Jamboree on 3,000 acres above Corona del Mar. The road built through the center was named Jamboree Road.
Crenshaw Blvd (LA County) - Named in 1904 for banker and developer George Crenshaw of Missouri, this iconic,over 23- mile street runs through neighborhoods including Crenshaw, Leimert Park and Baldwin Hills.
Rodeo Drive (LA County) - This iconic Beverly Hills street is on land that was once part of the massive Rancho Rodeo de las Aguas, meaning “gathering of the waters”. The ranch spanned 3,200 acres at that time.
Los Rios Street (San Juan Capistrano, OC) - The Rios Adobe is the oldest occupied residence in CA and is on Los Rios Street, named for this family. It has been occupied by the Rios descendents for over 200 years. Feliciano Rios came to SJC with Father Junipero Serra in 1776.
