In case you haven’t heard, both Chad & Dawn will be venturing forth from FXCHD!!
Chad will be moving to Florida and Dawn is heading over to Freedom Road Harley-Davidson in Branford, CT. We’re sad to see them go & wish them all the best!!

A H.O.G. Rally in Gettysburg, PA -Aug. 16-19
A Chapter Member has reserved a room at the Days Inn (right across from the Battlefield!) and now is unable to go. The room is non-refundable, so he’s offering it to anyone who is interested. The reservation has you checking in on 8/17, out on 8/20, for $425 – let Dawn know if you’d like to grab this room!
Come enjoy scenic rides along Dutch Country roads and through the Allegheny Mountains. Historic battlefield tours, ghost tours and wine tours, we have it all!

On June 7th, we sent out a 3-question survey to all 107 Chapter Members- 68 were opened, 34 people clicked on the link, and 28 people completed the survey.
- Do you feel the Chapter should raise funds? 68% said yes.
- If yes, on what? 62% said parties, 57% said gifts/goodies.
- Money aside, what do you need? 53% said chapter specific patches/clothing.
Upcoming Events where we can potentially raise money:
- The Luau on Aug. 26th - a Hawaiian Themed Bake Sale
- The Fall Kickoff/Open House on Sept. 9th

FX Thunder HOG Picnic Ride – taking the looong way round to Sacket’s Harbor Battlefield. Bring your picnic lunch or grab one along the way. Meet at FXCHD at 10:30, KSU at 11am.

Chad’s Farewell Party – starts at 1pm at the dealership and goes until 5pm… much fun will be had!!
August 17th: Thursday Night Ride to The West View in Henderson Harbor. This ride is weather permitting, so make sure to RSVP on FXCHD’s website if you’d like to be notified.
August 19th: Two events!!

CVMA’s 8th Annual Veterans Ride – raising money for local vets and their families. Registration starts at 9am at the dealership, KSU at 11, $20 per bike, $15 per passenger, with food and raffles at the end (Carthage VFW).

Summer Fling at FXCHD – good music & food with great people!! Come on out and join us from 12 till 4pm.
August 24-26: Almost Heaven/Shankesville, PA Overnight Ride -4 days, 3 nights. Our own Don D. has put this ride down to the Flight 93 Memorial and has arranged for Latrobe HOG Chapter to take us on a guided ride!! There is still 1 room (Days Inn $248.09 including tax) open if anyone is interested!! Email Don to let him know.
August 26th: Two events!!

3rd Annual Stub’s Run for the Last Station – Registration starts at 10, KSU at 11:30, $25 per Bike, add $5 if you’ve got a passenger. Raising monies for the Last Station for the history of the Dexter Volunteer Fire Department.

Spyderquest: Sept. 5-9 in Queesnbury/Lake George area -celebrating all things Can-Am Spyder & Ryker related (since we've got a few members who ride these 3-wheeled vehicles, we thought we'd share the info).
- Open Roads/Open House at FXCHD: Sept. 8-9 -more info coming soon, so stay tuned!!
- The Last Thursday Night Ride: Sept. 21
- October Get Together: Oct. 7th, 10am at FXCHD

The main reason our HOG Chapter exists is so that we like-minded individuals who are passionate about motorcycling adventure and Harley-Davidson can get together and have fun!!
To that end, we're always on the look out for new & interesting places to go and things to do!! What are your ideas? What would you like to do? Where do you want to go??

If you’d like to join the group, all you need to do is:
- Go to your smart phone’s app store and search “Whats App Messaging” (look for their green phone logo) and install.
- Once installed, open and start a chat with Darryl (315-854-1811) -you might have to add him as a contact in your phone.
- In the chat, let Darryl know your name and that you’d like to join the FX Thunder H.O.G. Group.
- You’ll see it once he’s added you, and then you’ll be able to reach everybody in just one text, pic, link or whatever else you’d like to share
