Brian McDonough, MIT's General Manager, has been leading the implementation of a new club software system. On February 9th, this new system will go live, and one week later, the club will re-open to members. The most noticeable change members will experience is with regard to the billing system. For starters, we will have one! Fees associated with memberships, lessons, racquet stringing, and purchases from the Pro Shop will all run through this one system. Monthly statements will be generated and the usual methods of payment will be accepted. The advent of this system also means that the next time you forget $1.00 for water, you can just say, "Put it on my account!" and it will show up on your monthly statement. Eventually, not too soon, it will be possible to reserve court time online.
As with all new systems, we fully expect that there will be some growing pains. Thank you in advance for your patience as we all adjust to a new system. If you have feedback along the way, please direct it to Brian and not the person at the desk who delivers the message! Members can expect to receive additional communications from MIT in the coming week with more details about the reinstatement of membership fees and the new billing system. When we get this system fully implemented, it will be a very effective tool for our club.
