Are You Familiar with the Redesigned Binswitch Elite?

We leveled up the tested and true Binswitch, a long-time staple for plugged chute and point level applications in the feed and grain industries.

What changed?

We added an advanced electronic material build-up shield. Like the “power shield” technology used in the popular Autoset point level indicator, the Binswitch Elite can ignore dust buildup, preventing false alarms.

With simple magnetic calibration and easy-to-follow LED indicator sequencing, the Binswitch Elite is the next generation of advanced and compact electronic plug/level indicators. Use it when reliability is premium and where space is limited.

A Class II Div. 1 rating means you can place the Binswitch Elite directly in the dust hazard location, giving you more flexibility for installation within these potentially explosive areas.

PRO TIP:

Sensor Calibration and Testing

Proper sensor calibration and testing is essential to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements and to deliver consistent, repeatable measurement outputs. Your sensors are only as dependable as their calibration.

4B Components has developed tools to help you achieve independent, real time and complete verification of your sensor function and calibration, including:

SpeedMaster™ for speed switch sensor and system testing in the field

ADB Bearing Sensor Tester for testing of adjustable depth bearing sensors and the system, in the field

Spotlight: New Brass Rub Blocks

New Sizes - Now Available

Brass Rub Block Sensors

One of the most common ways to detect belt tracking and alignment problems on bucket elevators and conveyors is by using a rub-block. And 4B Components has many options to suite your application.

Brass rub blocks monitor for belt misalignment problems by detecting heat generated by the friction of the misaligning belt rubbing against the brass.

How? A temperature sensor within the brass block provides the temperature reading, and the control system generates an alarm and a shutdown when a trip point is reached.

The sensors are usually installed in pairs, near the drive and tail pulleys on opposite sides of the machine to detect misalignment on either side.

Check out our newest brass rub blocks in 2x4 inch rectangle and 3 inch round sizes.

  • Easy installation
  • No moving parts
  • Temperature activated
  • Models to fit any application
  • Prevents unscheduled downtime
Watchdog Super Elite Monitoring System

Rub block sensors can be connected to a PLC directly on the input card or in 4B’s network interface IE-Node.

For greater safety, connect sensors to a central independent monitoring system such as 4B’s Watchdog™ Super Elite or

T400N Elite Hotswitch.
