Proper sensor calibration and testing is essential to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements and to deliver consistent, repeatable measurement outputs. Your sensors are only as dependable as their calibration.

Spotlight: New Brass Rub Blocks

New Sizes - Now Available

One of the most common ways to detect belt tracking and alignment problems on bucket elevators and conveyors is by using a rub-block. And 4B Components has many options to suite your application.

Brass rub blocks monitor for belt misalignment problems by detecting heat generated by the friction of the misaligning belt rubbing against the brass.

How? A temperature sensor within the brass block provides the temperature reading, and the control system generates an alarm and a shutdown when a trip point is reached.

The sensors are usually installed in pairs, near the drive and tail pulleys on opposite sides of the machine to detect misalignment on either side.

Rub block sensors can be connected to a PLC directly on the input card or in 4B’s network interface IE-Node.
