The Noose is a classic Haitian play, translated as "The Noose" by Dr. Asselin Charles, and originally written as "Pèlen Tèt" by Haitian playwright Frankétienne. It will be performed for the first time in Canada under the direction and production of the illustrious Abigail Whitney.

SYNOPSIS: Two Haitian immigrants - a middle class intellectual and a peasant - clash, banter, and ultimately unite in a New York City basement apartment in the 1980s, fighting for dignity in a world determined to crush their American dreams.

ONABSE has secured a special performance for schools to support this first-of-its-kind event on Sunday, October 20 at 1 PM! This special screening will include an opportunity to speak with the director herself as well as the performers exploring the play's themes and their relevance to our community today.
