The Davidson County Democratic Party is proud to open our new Election HQ to the public on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026 from 5 – 8pm CDT at 175 Rosa L Parks Blvd, Nashville, TN 37203.

Join us for food and refreshments and stay for the monthly meeting of our executive committee starting at 6 p.m. to hear about our plans for races up and down the ballot this fall.

We are officially hiring Paid Canvassers for the 2026 General Election cycle.
We are looking to hire 10 canvassers and would love any leads you might be able to share. If you, or anyone you know, can commit to 2+ shifts per week (shifts are 2hrs), please reach out to Jonathan Swann at jonathan.swann@davidsondemocrats.org.

August 21 DCDP Office Prep (Painting)
Help the Davidson County Democratic Party with preparations for our new office space. We have two shifts on Friday, August 21 at 1pm and 3pm CDT.
This will be a painting shift — we'll tape off walls and molding, then paint several walls to bring the office up to a presentable state for the public.

August 25 Executive Committee Meeting
The DCDP's executive committee meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Freeman-Webb Building unless otherwise noted.
Interested community members are invited to attend and learn more about the work of our organization as we prepare for the 2026 election.

The Vonda McDaniel Nashville Labor Day Parade & Celebration
Join Nashville's Labor Unions on Saturday, September 5th for our annual Labor Day Parade followed by a solidarity celebration at Walk of Fame Park.
This year's celebration will honor the life and legacy of CLC President Vonda McDaniel, who passed away on June 30, 2026.

Nashville Labor Day Parade with DCDP
Join the Davidson County Democratic Party as we march with Nashville's Labor Unions on Saturday, September 5th for their annual Labor Day Parade followed by a solidarity celebration at Walk of Fame Park.

Sept 10 Precinct Captain Book Club
For this gathering, we’ll discuss Dirt Road Revival: How to Rebuild Rural Politics and Why Our Future Depends on It by Chloe Maxmin and Canyon Woodward.
Come talk strategy, share snacks, and connect with fellow precinct captains. Reading the book in advance is encouraged, but everyone participating in the Precinct Captain Program is welcome.

DCDP at the Green Hills Park Festival
The 10th annual Green Hills Park Festival, presented by Bob Freeman for State Representative, will be held Saturday, September 12, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Enjoy booths for local shops, family-fun activities, food trucks, beer & wine vendors, plus college football games and a family movie night!

The Davidson County Democratic Party is sending representatives from the Democratic Party to the polls on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026).
If you would like to volunteer, please complete this form. The DCDP will submit your name for credentials from the Election Commission and provide you with your badge and poll assignment closer to the election.
| | | Precinct captains are grassroots leaders who help the party turn out Democratic voters in their neighborhood. Precinct captains will receive training and other tools and resources to be successful building our party infrastructure to turn the tide in Tennessee. | |  | | | | |
