Join the Davidson County Democratic Women and Davidson County Democratic Party Thursday, March 26 5:30 – 8pm CDT to learn more about candidates on the ballot in the Democratic primary election taking place Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Important Upcoming Election Information

This year is a critical Midterm Election year. We have three important elections that are taking place in the coming months. The first is the May 5 County Primary Election, the second is the August 6 State and Federal Primary, County General Election, and the Oak Hill Municipal Election, and the third and final is the November 3 General Election.


Please review the Davidson County Election Calendar and all of the election information below so that you are up to speed, can make a plan to vote, and get ready to cast your ballot!

 

May 5 Primary Election

The May 5 County Primary Election is fast approaching. Early Voting begins in a few weeks on April 15 and runs until April 30.

Democrats will be electing the DCDP Executive Committee as well as who will be on the August 6 County General Election ballot as the Democratic Nominee for Circuit Court Judge, Criminal Court Judge, General Sessions Judge, School Board Districts 2/4/6/8, and several other elections up and down the ballot!

August 6 Election

The August 6 State and Federal Primary, County General Election, and the Oak Hill Municipal Election will be here before you know it!

In this election, Democrats will be electing candidates from the May 5 Primary, as well as selecting who they want to represent them on the ballot for the November 3 General Election as the Democratic Nominee for U.S. Senate, Congressional districts 5/6/7, Governor, and several other elections up and down the ballot!

Precinct Captain Program

Precinct captains are grassroots leaders who help the party turn out Democratic voters in their neighborhood. Precinct captains will receive training and other tools and resources to be successful building our party infrastructure to turn the tide in Tennessee.
