Lock It Plates is Here Lock It Plates, a Tech Runway Venture Class 6 company, is partnering with Chartwells, FAU's catering service. Through this partnership, FAU students can now transfer their food from the Atlantic Dining Hall to their dorms using Lock It Plates, which are containers that securely lock and stack. The returnable containers are reusable. Learn More Shipmonk Creating 400 Jobs Locally Shipmonk, a Tech Runway Venture Class 1 company, plans to create 400 more jobs at its new Fort Lauderdale headquarters and logistics operation. The South Florida startup business provides packing and shipping for e-commerce companies. Through Shipmonk, companies use software to manage inventory. Read more. Learn More Exclusive Event at FAU Tech Runway Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) were the topics at the recent South Florida Business and Wealth's exclusive Digital South Florida series held at FAU Tech Runway. The event included topics surrounding AR and VR with artificial intelligence, drones, AR bubbles and a demonstration of images from Magic Leap One, an AR system by a Plantation company. Read more. Florida Aerospace Capital Forum Space Florida and Florida Venture Forum, an entrepreneurial investor networking group, are partnering to bring you the second annual Florida Aerospace Capital Forum. Companies will present before an audience of equity investors and compete for the Accelerating Innovation award, which offers $50,000 grand prize, $30,000 to first runner-up and $20,000 to second place to eligible Florida companies or those companies seeking to relocate or establish in Florida.
