A SUP-X Startup Winner

Hubspring Health, a Venture Class 5 company, won $40,000 in cash and prizes at this week's 2019 SUP-X Start-Up Competition.

Hubspring Health is a mobile cloud platform for the medical field that helps you manage and organize tasks, schedules, messaging and more.

Alertgy Wins Big

Alertgy, a Tech Runway Venture Class 7 company, recently placed first and received a $36,000 grant at the 2018 Health Innovators Diabetes Care Challenge pitch competition for the New Orleans Business Alliance.

Alertgy developed a wearable, non-invasive blood glucose monitoring system for the smartphone.

Transferring Research From the Lab to the Marketplace
The National Science Foundation (NSF) recently issued a special report for the NSF-funded I-Corps program at FAU.

I-Corps prepares scientists and engineers to extend their focus beyond the laboratory. FAU I-Corps mission is to recruit, organize and train entrepreneurial teams via a five-week training module. Team mentoring support is provided by several units such as, FAU's Tech Runway, FAU College of Business' Adams Center for Entrepreneurship and FAU's Small Business Development Center.
BioPitch Competition

BioFlorida, a company in Florida's life science industry, is now accepting applications for the annual BioPitch Competition.

Applications are due by Aug. 15.

Finalists will present during the general session at the BioFlorida Conference slated from Oct. 20 to 22 at the Tampa Marriott Water Street.

Winners will be announced at the conference on Oct. 22.
