Michael Boltri Wins NSF Award

Michael Boltri, co-founder of BiUwAVe (biomimetic underwater autonomous vehicle), a Tech Runway Venture Class 6 company, recently won a $55,000 award from the National Science Foundation. 

Boltri is a masters student working as a graduate research assistant for his Oscar M. Curet, Ph.D., in the department of ocean and mechanical engineering. 

The award, for his project titled β€œNon-Academic Research Internship for Graduate Students, will help Boltri complete an internship as an extension of the work done within his masters degree and I-CORPS training to co-found BiUwAVe. 
Alertgy Does it Again!

Marc E. Rippen from Alertgy, a Tech Runway venture class 7 company, received an award from the NASA iTech Ignite the Night Orlando event.

In addition, Alertgy, a glucose monitoring wristband that links to your phone to notify family and friends, is a top 10 finalist presenting at the 2019 NASA iTech Cycle II Forum in Las Cruces, N.M., on Oct. 7 and 8.
