I-Corps Graduation

I-Corps South, a regional cohorts program, recently held its graduation for 17 teams, including Tech Runway's venture class companies and others. During the graduation, teams presented their business model canvas and lessons that they learned through out the program.

I-Corps South offers startup companies a five-week course on startup methodology. During the program, teams conduct customer discovery interviews to develop their business model and better define their product-market fit.
Scholarship Awarded

Mohammad Irfan Uddin, Ph.D. candidate in ocean engineering, was recently awarded the 2019 Marine Technology Society Scholarship for Graduate Students.

Uddin is with BiUwAVe (biomimetic underwater autonomous vehicle), a Tech Runway Venture Class 6 company.
An Entrepreneur's Perspective on Understanding Term Sheets

Join the roundtable discussion presented by EisnerAmper’s Life Sciences and Technology Team on “An Entrepreneur’s Perspective on Understanding Term Sheets.”
This session will focus on assisting entrepreneurs with the process of interpreting term sheets, understanding common concepts and identifying red flags. They will also give an overview on the basics of liquidation preferences, 83(b) filings, stock options and the steps involved in preparing for due diligence. 
Lunch will be served and there will be time set aside before and after the session to meet one-on-one with the EisnerAmper experts. (One-on-one meetings are available on a first-come, first served basis.)

2019 Startup Pitch Competition

Lab Ventures is opening up their Future of Logistics Tech Summit 2019 Startup Pitch Competition.

The top finalists will have a chance to present their ideas on stage to a distinguished investor panel, influential media, global partners and more than 400 guests.

Startups who want to apply must be developing innovative technology for the logistics and supply chain industry. The Startups must be in business for less than five years and have less than $5 million in funding with at least one customer.
