Candidate.Guru Acquires Elevated Careers
Candidate.Guru, a Venture Class 2 company, has acquired Elevated Careers by eHarmony, an employee engagement, personality and skills matching solution. "Elevated Careers will deepen Candidate.Guru’s technology holdings and widen its product offerings," said Chris Daniels, CEO of the startup.

Candidate.Guru is a people analytics platform that shortens time to hire, boosts productivity, and improves the retention of the right talent, without complex surveys or assessments. The company has eight employees and is housed at FAU Tech Runway.
FAU Launches First Digital Research Magazine

The Division of Research launched its first digital magazine this week, featuring university-wide research news. It showcases exclusive digital imagery and videos, as well as recently funded research, a calendar of events and more.

TechGarage Open House
TechGarage will be hosting an open house 6 - 8 p.m. Sept. 5, 6 and 7 at FAU Tech Runway, featuring its upcoming fall program for the Drone Robot League and Virtual Reality League.

They will kick-off their season with a Drone Robot League event at noon Sept. 9 at FAU Tech Runway. Teams will participate in a 30-hour build, with exhibition matches the following day.

The program is open to middle and high schoolers, FAU students and company teams. College and graduate school students are also welcome as program volunteers.
ITWomen Leadership Summit
ITWomen, in partnership with FAU Tech Runway, invites you to the inaugural ITWomen Leadership Summit. The event will take place 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at FAU Tech Runway.

Keynote speakers include Heather Cabot, angel investor and author of Geek Girls Rising, and Angela Sebaly, entrepreneur and author of The Courageous Leader. Sessions will feature CXO leadership insights, developing a culture of innovation, and an FAU Tech Runway female founder and startup showcase.

The ITWomen Leadership Summit is designed to provide women in the tech industry with rich development opportunities. All proceeds from the event will fund camps and STEM programs for under-served girls in the community.
FAU Tech Runway's Annual
Maverick Reception
Celebrate a year of success, innovation and all those who make it happen at our annual Maverick Reception 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Thur. Oct. 26 at FAU Tech Runway.

Your contribution will allow students, faculty and local innovators to participate in our one-year Venture Class program, turning their entrepreneurial dreams into successful startups.
The Women’s Foundation of Florida is accepting nominations for its first Girls Leadership Institute and STEAM Academy. The program is designed to empower girls to become leaders in STEAM fields. Workshops will take place 8:45 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sept. 16 at Palm Beach State College.

M iddle and high school girls are eligible for the free program, sponsored by the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County and Palm Beach State College . Space is limited to 100 participants.

Florida Venture Forum is accepting applications for the 2017 Florida VentureTech Showcase of South Florida, held Nov. 16 at FAU Tech Runway.

Companies will compete for the chance to win the $25,000  Space Florida Accelerating Innovation Award.

Florida Venture Forum is Florida’s largest statewide support organization for investors and entrepreneurs, helping emerging companies connect with sources of capital.
