Edgecombe-Martin EMC supports ECC students

Leaders at Edgecombe-Martin County Electric Membership Corporation recently presented $1,000 to Edgecombe Community College to support student scholarships. Edgecombe-Martin EMC provides two $500 scholarships to the College annually. From left are Eddie Stocks and Winston Howell of Edgecombe-Martin EMC and Dr. Greg McLeod and Lynwood Roberson of ECC.

Congratulations to recent Edgecombe Community College EMT-Paramedic graduates. From left are (front) Jhamal Turner; Amber McLawhorn; Richard Sweitz; Dominique Montaque; Bret Whitaker; Kenneth Cannon; Robert Whistler, coordinator of Emergency Services and Public Safety Training at ECC; (back) Tyler Williams, and Zach Smith. The one-year EMT-Paramedic course includes classroom instruction, clinical rotations, and an EMS field internship. Upon successful completion of the EMT-Paramedic program, graduates are eligible to take the North Carolina Paramedic certification exam.
ECC High Altitude Balloon Team seeks new members
ECC High Altitude Balloon Team

ECC's High Altitude Balloon Team is searching for motivated students to join the team. Known as critECCly stable, the HAB team focuses on developing and implementing weather balloon technologies that collect atmospheric data for research. Since first competing in 2016, the critECCly stable team has won top awards in state and national competitions. Students who are interested in joining the team should complete the online application.
