Rocky Mount Rotary Club presents $27,000 to ECC
Rocky Mount Rotary Club presents _27k to ECC

The Rocky Mount Rotary Club presented Edgecombe Community College with $27,000 on Monday to support student scholarships. The presentation took place during a RM Rotary Club meeting, during which Rotary leaders presented $81,000 in scholarship funds to support local students attending Edgecombe Community College, Nash Community College, and North Carolina Wesleyan College. The funds were raised through Tackle the Tar, a 5K obstacle course race and family fun day sponsored by the RM Rotary Club.
Respiratory Therapy grads earn credentials
Respiratory Therapist Grads

All members of the ECC Respiratory Therapy Class of 2019 have successfully passed the national exam at the high cut score and earned the credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist. Passing at the high cut score signifies that they are eligible to take the advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist exam. In addition, all of the graduates are licensed Respiratory Care Practitioners and are working as respiratory therapists, according to Tim King, program chair of Respiratory Therapy at ECC. KCST donates Honda for ECC Golf Tournament prize

Keihin Carolina System Technology has donated a 2019 Honda Accord LX as a hole-in-one prize for the ECC Foundation's 34th Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, October 10. Shown from left are KCST and ECC officials Connie Hunt, Tammie Barrett, Lynwood Roberson, Batt Masterson, Dr. Greg McLeod, and David Catt. Set at Maccripine Country Club, the tournament is a fundraiser for student scholarships. Last year's tournament raised $17,300. Tee-times are 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. To register a team, call the ECC Foundation Office at 618-6650.
