Nurses receive superior scores on licensure exams

RN Grads

Congratulations to July 2019 graduates of Edgecombe Community College's Practical Nursing program, who scored 100 percent on their national licensure exam. Practical Nursing graduates have achieved a perfect score for eight years in a row. Kudos also to May 2019 graduates of the Associate Degree Nursing program, who scored 89.19 percent on their national licensure exam. The national average is 85.17.
Healthcare graduates honored
Health Occupations Grads

The ECC community, family, and friends honored 130 graduates of Health Occupations programs during the annual Health Occupations Recognition Ceremony held January 30. Graduates completed 200 credentials in programs such as Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy, Medication Aide, and Community Health Coach. Some students completed more than one program and earned multiple credentials. Several earned three or four credentials.
Bright Star Touring Theatre performs Tuesday
Bright Star Touring Theatre

The Bright Star Touring Theatre will perform Freedom Songs: The Music of Black History at ECC on Tuesday, February 11, at 7:30 p.m. The performance is sponsored by the Furman Mathewson Trust of Edgecombe County Memorial Library. Admission is free, but reserved seating tickets are required.
