April 1, 2021
Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,
As we start on the journey of the Holy Days of the Triduum, I want to share with you one of my favorite reflections on John 3:16.
FOR GOD—the greatest giver
SO LOVED—the greatest degree
THE WORLD—the greatest company
THAT HE GAVE—the greatest sacrifice
HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON—the greatest gift
THAT WHOSOEVER—the greatest opportunity
BELIEVETH—the greatest simplicity
IN HIM—the greatest attraction
SHOULD NOT PERISH—the greatest promise
BUT—the greatest difference
HAVE—the greatest certainty
EVERLASTING LIFE—the greatest possession
I pray these most significant days of our faith are filled with prayer, contemplation and hope as we remember the suffering and death of our Savior and then rejoice in His Resurrection!
Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker
After many delays, we are excited to share that the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel will begin construction after Easter. Due to construction, it will be necessary to modify our Arrival and Dismissal traffic flows starting on Wednesday, April 7th. Fortunately, most of our procedures will remain the same, but we will be required to change our traffic flow to accommodate the construction. The changes listed below have been approved by the parish and are what we must follow to keep everyone safe and not interfere with the progress of construction. Please take some time to carefully read the directions below. Please share this information with anyone who helps you with arrival or dismissal. (This information and diagrams will also be sent home in Green Folders today).

ARRIVAL: Both walk-up and carline will continue to be available, but they have switched locations
  • Walk up will now be at the back of the school. Cars will enter the campus from Bay Branch by the St. Teresa Center and drive to the back parking lot between the playground and the athletic fields. You will pull into a parking spot and then walk your child(ren) up to the back school doors by the playground. Staff will be there to take temperatures.
  • Carline drop-off will now be in the front of the school. Cars will enter through the main entrance on Bay Branch and circle around to the front of the school (similar to the front dismissal carline). Staff will be along the curb to open doors and take temperatures.

DISMISSAL: Both front and back carlines will continue to be available.
  • Front carline (#1-150) will continue to run as usual with the same traffic pattern, entering through Bay Branch main entrance and circling around the front of the school and exiting back onto Bay Branch. Volunteers will continue to assist with staging cars in the parking lot.
  • Back carline (#151 and up) will be in the reverse direction from the existing flow. Cars will now enter from Bay Branch by the St. Teresa Center and will snake around to the back parking lot between the playground and the athletic fields. Volunteers will be present to assist with staging cars in the parking lot.  Students will continue to be picked up along the sidewalk, which means that student loading will now be on the driver’s side of the car. Cars will then proceed around the back of the school/church to exit campus via Kuykendahl.

Addendum to dismissal carline changes:
For dismissal back carline: In order to minimize car back-ups on Bay Branch, there will be no left hand turns from Bay Branch into the St. Teresa Center parking lot. If you are coming from Kuykendahl, we ask that you continue through the light up to Research Forest and go down Alden Bridge to Bay Branch. If traffic is backed up on Bay Branch, please keep to the right of the street to allow through traffic to pass.

Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we adjust to this temporary change.
We will continue to work closely with our local health department officials and the Catholic Schools Office to ensure the safety of our students and staff should the school experience a positive case of COVID-19. Please see the attached documents regarding screening of your students and on-campus requirements should someone test positive for COVID-19.
