Dear St. Anthony of Padua Families,

Happy Easter! I hope your families had a blessed Easter and enjoyed our extended break. This time of year is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our blessings. This week has been one marked by so many examples of the generosity of our families which is much appreciated by the entire faculty and staff. On Tuesday, parents joined our classroom Resurrection Celebrations. On Wednesday, many of our Teachers of the Day were on campus. It was such fun seeing students in the role of teacher, counselor, nurse and more. Thank you to the families who purchased these experiences at this year’s Gala. On Thursday, our Paduan Parents hosted a staff luncheon and covered lunch duties giving our faculty and staff time to eat together and enjoy fellowship and delicious Chinese food. Today our Kindergarten hosted their annual STREAM Day and we are thankful for the volunteers that assisted. Thank you for all that you do to support our entire St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School Family. We are forever grateful.

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker

2019-2020 ATHLETICS COMMITMENT
We are excited about our returning and future student-athletes & school teams for the 2019-2020 school year! With the end of the school year drawing near and next fall just around the corner, it is time to find out who is interested in participating in a SAOPCS 2019 Fall Sport. In the fall the following sports are offered for each grade level:
  • 5th thru 8th Boys & Girls Cross Country
  • 5th thru 8th Co-ed Soccer
  • 6th thru 8th Girls Volleyball
  • 6th thru 8th Boys Football.
Experience is NOT necessary, if your student-athlete has not played a sport before, but is interested and is willing to give their best, please encourage them to give it a try! There are no cuts and everyone who comes out will be part of the team. Please return commitment form as soon as possible!

L IBRARY ASSISTANCE
Do you need more Paduan Points? The library would love to have you come and volunteer some time to help with shelving of books. Contact Mr. Mattern at CMattern@staopcs.org  for details.
PADUAN POINTS REMINDERS:

***Please track all Paduan Points by April 30th.***

Each family is required to complete 20 Paduan Points for school-related volunteer activities between August 1 – April 30. Volunteering taking place in May must be preemptively recorded (Graduation volunteering, Fun Field Day, etc.).
  • Service hours are to be completed by parents (or close family members) of the students only.
  • Partial hours of service are rounded up to the nearest half hour.
  • Families may not bank hours for future years.
  • Families may not transfer hours to other school families.
  • Paduan Points tracking is an “honor system”, meaning families enter their own time in ParentsWeb. All volunteer hours are reviewed throughout the year by the school administration to monitor family progress towards the agreed 20 Paduan Points per family per school year.
  • Each family will be billed $10 for each uncompleted Paduan Point (maximum of $200) on your family’s FACTS account on May 1st.
  • Final report cards and school records will not be released until payment is completed.

GALA PARTIES & SOCIALS
The Mardi Gras Ball is over ( and a GREAT SUCCESS! ) but there are still amazing parties and socials available! We are so grateful for the families and teachers that make the effort to host these great events for the benefit of our students.
