Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

HAPPY EASTER! This weekend, we complete the Octave of Easter. I love how our liturgical calendar so beautifully commemorates the most important events of our Catholic faith. Only Easter and Christmas have octaves attached to them within our current liturgical calendar. Because these two dates are the highest ranked of our calendar, their celebration begins with a vigil Mass and continues for eight days. The Easter Octave ends this Sunday on the Second Sunday of Easter of the Divine Mercy. Interestingly, the days of this past week are sometimes also called, “Easter Monday”, “Easter Tuesday”, etc. I pray that your family had a wonderful, blessed, rejuvenating and faith-filled Easter Sunday and that the following Octave has been, and continues to be, full of daily “Easters” as we remember in awe and wonder the profound depth of the love of Christ displayed in His outstretched arms on the cross.

Also in the midst of this joyous season, we have the opportunity to celebrate our school at tomorrow’s Havana Nights Gala! I look forward to seeing many of you there as we celebrate the students of our school and work to raise money to continue to further our mission and keep helping our Dolphins thrive and reach their full potential!

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker
Principal
