Dear Parents of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

Our first (half) week is complete! On behalf of all of the teachers, staff and administration, I want to express my sincere gratitude to our families for your patience and understanding as we reopen our campus in these very unique circumstances. We have been eagerly awaiting this week since last March and we are thrilled it has finally come! It has been wonderful to see our students both in person and remotely. We look forward to the day when we can do this without masks but are grateful that your children have been so diligent about following this directive which keeps us all safe. We have certainly faced some hurdles this week. Our first day, our entire campus experienced a loss of internet which impacted our remote learners and our live-streamed Mass. While our arrival process has gone smoothly and improved each day, we realize we continue to need to make tweaks to the afternoon dismissal. Your words of encouragement have been much appreciated. We are determined to keep working on this until it works! Thank you for all you have done to make these first days a success! I am so grateful for each of you!

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker
Principal

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL NOTES:
Thank you for your patience as we navigated new arrival & dismissal procedures this week! We have just a few reminders going into next week:

  • For your safety, please don't leave your car when in car line. Our staff will help children into their cars.
  • If you need to buckle car seats, please pull forward into lot in front of the Parish Life Building or into the back lot by the St. Theresa Center to assist your child.
  • Please also pull as close to the car in front of you as possible during dismissal line-up so that we can allow for as many cars as possible.

DISMISSAL CHANGES:
All students will dismiss through car lineWe have two car lines this year—front and rearFamilies with car line numbers 1-150 will use the front car line. Families with car line numbers 151 and higher will use the rear car line.
  • Families with car line numbers 1-150 will use the front car line, entering through the main campus driveway on Bay Branch, proceeding to the “holding area” in the front parking lot, then feeding into the line of cars along the sidewalk in front of the school (see diagram).  Staff will be stationed at the colored cones along the sidewalk to enforce social distancing and assist with loading when needed. Cars exit via the main Bay Branch drive and turn right.
  • Families with car line numbers 151 and higher will use the rear car line, entering through the south Kuykendahl entrance and proceeding to the colored cones near the playground (see diagram). Staff will be stationed at the cones to enforce social distancing and assist with loading when needed. Cars exit via the St. Teresa Center driveway and turn left.

A printable version of these procedures & diagrams detailing the changes are featured at the button below.
