Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

HAPPY CHRISTMAS BREAK!!! It’s been an interesting semester to be a student, a teacher, a parent and an administrator! Together, we made it. Thank you for your support, patience and prayers. This year, more than any other, has taught me the importance of prayer and unity in reaching a common goal of keeping our school family safe and our doors open. As we look towards January, I want to share a few things…

While the outside temperatures are cooler when we return, we still ask that you PLEASE take temperatures before coming to school. This is a big help to our staff and will get your students to class quicker. Your partnership and support in doing this is much appreciated. School staff will continue to take temperatures at lunch.

We will still allow students to wear spirit shirts (from the school, Risse Uniforms or Squad Locker) with uniform bottoms to assist with easier laundry.

All students will be expected to be in Mass uniform when attending Mass in the church. At this point, the schedule when we return is as follows:

January 6 | Wednesday after Epiphany | 6th – 8th attending
January 13 | Wednesday of the 1st Week of Ordinary Time | 2nd & 3rd attending
January 20 | Wednesday of the 2nd Week of Ordinary Time | 2nd & 3rd attending
January 27 | Wednesday of the 3rd Week of Ordinary Time Green | 6th – 8th attending

February 3 | Wednesday of the 4th Week of Ordinary Time | 4th & 5th attending
February 10 | Memorial of Saint Scholastica, Virgin | 4th & 5th attending
February 17 | Ash Wednesday | 2nd & 3rd attending
February 24 | Wednesday of the 1st Week in Lent | 2nd & 3rd attending
Remember you also have the option for remote learning from January 5th – 15th if you have traveled or are concerned about the return to campus for any reason. If you have not already notified me, but still want this option, please notify me (vtucker@staopcs.org) as soon as possible. Requests received after today may result in a one-day delay in having this available on the first day back.

This Christmas, I will continue to thank God for the blessing of each of you.

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker
Principal
