December 7, 2018
Dear St. Anthony of Padua Families,

Happy Advent! This Advent season has definitely started at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School. We have continued time-honored traditions: The Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe, the lighting of the Advent Wreath at our weekly Mass, daily morning Scripture readings focused on preparation for Christmas as well as the Second Coming, choir classes preparing for Christmas caroling… and of course Bobbi our Elf hiding in different places each day. This year, we also added a new tradition for the Feast of Saint Nicholas. After sharing a little about this popular saint over morning announcements, students placed one shoe in the hallway. Saint Nick’s “helpers” filled each shoe with a candy cane. We look forward to continuing to prepare our hearts for Christmas.

If your family practices an Advent or Christmas tradition that you would like to share, please send to me at vtucker@staopcs.org. Pictures are encouraged as well! We would like to share some of the traditions of our families so that we may all find new ways to focus on the true meaning of Advent and Christmas. Look for some of these traditions to be shared throughout the Advent and Christmas seasons on our social media platforms.

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker

PARENT SURVEY
Continuous school improvement can only happen with input from our school community. Your feedback is essential as we work to better serve you and create a positive experience at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School.

Please complete the survey below by Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

If you are a returning family, you may notice that some questions are the same as previous surveys. This is done intentionally so that we can track progress in certain areas over time. You will see this specifically regarding events and communication. These are areas which are very important to us. Please complete one survey per family. Thank you, in advance, for your help and for your commitment to our school.
