Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

This past Wednesday, we participated in one of my favorite traditions, The Crowning of Mary. This is a steadfast trademark of Catholic Schools and a beautiful reminder of our mission. In this entire month dedicated to Our Lady, we have the opportunity to reflect on Mary's role in the life of Jesus and the Church. Mary's unwavering faith, humility, and devotion serve as an inspiration to all of us in our own spiritual journeys --- especially Mothers. I pray we all find ways this month to honor Mary in whichever way we find best. Maybe this is adding a daily Hail Mary to your morning commute, reciting the Rosary, starting a new Novena, connecting with new Moms, attending Mass dedicated to Mary, or simply taking a moment to meditate on her virtues. And, as a school community, let us come together to celebrate Mary's love and intercession in our lives. May her example guide us in our daily lives and lead us closer to her son, Jesus Christ. I thought you also might to join us in praying the St. Faustina Marian Prayer which we pray together as a school each morning:

O Mary, my Mother and my Lady,

I offer You my soul, my body, my life and my death,

and all that will follow it.

O my Mother, cover my soul with Your mantle

and grant me the grace of purity of heart, soul and body.

Defend me with Your power against all enemies, O lovely lily!

You are for me a mirror, O my Mother!

Amen.

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker
