Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

It’s been a great week at St. Anthony! I’m grateful to have had the time to visit classrooms this week and see the wonderful things your students are doing! At this time of year, I love the chance to see the cumulative projects our students are doing as they synthesize knowledge gained throughout this first semester. Our third graders have completed their Saints projects…one of my all-time favorites. They turned out fantastic! Our 8th graders wrapped up a unit in literature with a final project on Anne Frank. Our 5th graders continue to dig deep into genetics and DNA. Our 1st graders have grown phenomenally as evidenced by their writing samples in the hallway. And that’s just to name a few examples of academic growth! Most excitingly, I’m loving seeing how our students are growing in their faith. This week, our 2nd and 3rd graders attended their first school Mass of the year in the church. It was heart-warming to see these students back in the sanctuary singing and praising our God.

In continuing with our November Saint Trivia… Today the children were given the following clue: “I was a medical doctor. I became known as the “pro-life saint” because I put my unborn child’s life before my own. Who am I?” The answer will be shared with your students on Monday.

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker
