Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

It’s a busy couple of weeks at St. Anthony of Padua! Monday morning, we had our monthly assembly and recognized our Dolphins for living out the Heroic Virtue of Love. We also introduced September’s virtue of Charity and how this virtue is manifested so beautifully in the life of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. Yesterday, we hosted our first Smart Families Parent Presentation. Thank you to all who attended and learned more about Neuroscience and how technology impacts our children. This week, we also started NWEA Testing. This is our tri-annual testing for 1st – 8th grades which allows us to measure student growth. This BOY (beginning-of-year) test provides a baseline to track this growth for our MOY (January) and EOY (April/May) testing. Testing continues into this upcoming week as well. We will be able to share out results in October when the Archdiocesan testing window closes.

This upcoming Friday we have our Fall Conferences. We will have another Conference Day in the spring semester. This is a great time to meet with the teachers and learn more about how your children are doing in the classroom. As a parent, I always appreciate the opportunity to see my sons through the eyes of their teachers. I pray these meetings are fruitful, informative and beneficial in continuing to build the partnership between parents and teachers. I look forward to seeing you on Friday!

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker

Principal

WALKING WITH PURPOSE (WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES) Wednesdays, 1:30-3:00 PM or 6:00-8:00 PM

Opening Your Heart: The Starting Point (afternoon & evening) (22-lessons).

This Bible study will take you on an exciting journey closer to the heart of God, help you form a personal relationship with Christ, and help you find answers to life’s biggest questions through the context of the Catholic faith. Opening Your Heart is an incredibly effective guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart and we encourage all participants new to Walking with Purpose to begin here, regardless of previous experience with Bible study.

Keeping in Balance (afternoon) – (22-lessons)

Come along on a journey throughout Scripture as we discover the relevance of Old and New Testament wisdom to our daily challenges. In this study, we’ll explore biblical ideas for managing life’s pace and pressure while living with calm and steadiness. Your lifestyle of health and holiness awaits.
