Congratulations,
Heart of Longmont Seniors!
This past Sunday (May 23, 2021), we honored our graduating seniors--Sovann Sam, Jenna Lloyd, and Al Dworak--with a slideshow video. Thank you to the parents for providing photos!

Sovann is graduating this year with a 4.3 at Silver Creek High School. In the fall, Sovann will be attending Colorado School of Mines with the intention of majoring in Computer Science.

Jenna will be attending CU Denver in their NextGen program for education. She will be learning in a local elementary school in the mornings and taking college classes in the afternoon.

After a fun summer of traveling and music, Al will be heading to Denver to study Dental Hygiene at CCD.

Congratulations Sovann, Jenna, and Al!
We wish you the best on your future endeavors!
Our Youth contributed to Youth Sunday musically
as well as with their presence!
Homeward Bound by Jenna Lloyd
Be Thou My Vision - Performed by Kameron Sam
Heaven is 10 Zillion Light Years Away
Performed by Al Dworak
Al plays all the instruments in this piece, as well as all the vocal work, including background vocals.
Thank You HOL Youth!
Thank you Emily, Brant and BASIC youth group for sharing with us on Sunday, May 23, morning.

Youth Fellowship has long been a part of the Methodist Church. The early group was called Epworth League, then changed to United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) and currently they are proudly named Brothers & Sisters in Christ (BASIC). They are regularly scheduled to meet Sunday evenings at 5:30 starting with dinner (though COVID has disrupted their schedule). Their local mission projects, summer mission work camps, and fun fellowship times have created wonderful memories for both the youth group and the entire congregation.
150th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
UPCOMING EVENTS: On June 20th we will welcome back former pastor Gran Smythe and his wife, Charlene. Gran and Charlene served our church from June 1994 to June 2003. Charlene was active in Children’s ministries and was director of the CATS Corner after school program. They are now retired and live in Longmont.

CELEBRATION SUNDAY: Our birthday celebration Sunday is being planned for July 11th. Although COVID restrictions have somewhat limited our planning, you don’t want to miss our celebration. We will hear a special message by our Bishop, the choir has planned a very special musical presentation, stories from the past and present will be presented. Under current COVID restriction, an old fashioned Methodist pot-luck can’t happen but you will be served a bar-b-que sandwich & we ask that you bring other lunch items to share with your family. If possible, plan to wear “period” costume. HATS WILL BE ALLOWED!!! MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR THIS SPECIAL EVENT.
There are still a couple of dates in June for people to help with
the Cal-wood fire restoration!

If you don't have the ability to watch Sunday worship services live online, contact Butch Howard about ways to have recording of Sunday service brought to you!

ALSO, Butch is looking for folks to video record a short interview with. These interviews are shown during Sunday service.  Interviews are short (one-to-two minutes) and are a gift to the congregation to be able to see and hear friends we haven’t seen in close to a year

Contact Butch Howard at 303-772-7399
