Dan Chaikin, the Chancel Choir and the Soul Singers would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Shirley Thompson for her generous contribution from the Gene Thompson Memorial Fund to help cover the cost of video editing software. Our virtual choir videos could not be done without this software and Shirley’s donation helped make it all possible.
Thank you, Shirley!
Thank you for the cards sent to Shirley Thompson for her 90th birthday. Her family enjoyed sharing the cards with her. The memories included in the cards were very special. We left the cards on the kitchen table and Shirley enjoyed rereading them. Thanks so much for taking the time to send Shirley a birthday card!
December Compassion Offering
Our Outreach Team has selected Habitat for Humanity for our December compassion offering. In addition, our focus for our special Christmas Eve service will also be Habitat for Humanity.

If you are moved to support their great work, you may send your offering to the office; just note in the memo line it is for either Compassion or Christmas Eve. We will make sure the funds get to Habitat.

The Heart of Longmont just got a
Prayer Heart
The Heart of Longmont just got a Prayer Heart. What does that mean you ask?

Come to the northwest corner of our church, where you will see a large wooden Prayer Heart. All are invited to approach in contemplation, select a ribbon from one of the canisters behind the heart, say a prayer and then tie a ribbon onto the wooden prayer heart. God hears our concerns, our pain, our joy and our thanks. When we can’t meet in person, it might help to come to the church, enjoy the outside and turn your prayer into a community symbol of hope during this difficult time.

Some churches have a labyrinth or a garden to find some peace and to say a prayer. It seems fitting that we have a Prayer Heart at The Heart of Longmont. Spread the word!
Calling All Artists!
The celebrations will begin in 2021! 150 years ago, a Methodist church was established in Longmont. An anniversary committee is busy planning a year of celebration and every celebration of this magnitude needs a logo!

If you are an artist—amateur or professional—you are invited to submit a picture for the 150 year celebration logo. The committee will choose the official logo to be used throughout the year of celebration. All drawings will be displayed for the viewing pleasure of the congregation. The new year is coming fast, so get out those paints, pens and pencils and start creating!

For more information contact Ann Yoder (303 772-8294).
