If you are alone for the holiday, or just wish to visit for while we invite you to join us. Come anytime during those two hours to say hi or visit for a while. Don’t spend the day by yourself this Thanksgiving.

Meeting ID: 898 8929 3593
Passcode: 405600

We are thankful for you. And we're looking forward to seeing you Thursday November 26 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
Calling All Artists!
The celebrations will begin in 2021! 150 years ago, a Methodist church was established in Longmont. An anniversary committee is busy planning a year of celebration and every celebration of this magnitude needs a logo!

If you are an artist—amateur or professional—you are invited to submit a picture for the 150 year celebration logo. The committee will choose the official logo to be used throughout the year of celebration. All drawings will be displayed for the viewing pleasure of the congregation. The new year is coming fast, so get out those paints, pens and pencils and start creating!

For more information contact Ann Yoder (303 772-8294).

November Compassion Offering

Special Sunday Offerings
by Jan Timmons

Since we have missed most of the special Sunday offerings due to the pandemic, the compassion offering for November will be evenly divided between these special offerings which are: Peace with Justice, World Communion, Native American, UMCOR, and United Methodist Student Day.

Peace with Justice encourages living the gospel of peace.

Native American Day supports education for Native American leaders.

Young adults are aided through the World Communion which supports their growth as leaders.
The United Methodist emergency relief fund is supported through contributions to the UMCOR fund.

On campus ministries are supported through the United Methodist Student Day offering.

All of these plus Human Relations Day are special offerings that are taken through out the year. We were meeting on Human Relations Sunday, so that is not included with this group.

Thank you to everyone who has given so generously to the compassion offerings this year. Many people were helped because of your generosity!
Christmas Baskets for Wild Plum Families
Update
WOW! Your incredible generosity never ceases to AMAZE me! We are down to just 10 kids left to be adopted!

With your generous donations we will also be able to extend our giving! What WONDERFUL news! I'd like to send a sincere thank you to everyone who has contributed by donating money to this project and those who have adopted families!

As a reminder, baskets are due NO LATER THAN Monday, December 14th. Baskets can be dropped off at the church Thursday December 3rd from 2 - 4 pm; Sunday December 6th from 12 - 1 pm and 2:30 - 3 pm; and Monday December 14th from 6 - 7 pm.

If you have already adopted a family, look for an email from me sent Friday night with your family number. Please attach your number to your basket in some fashion (even a sticky note will do). If you haven't heard from me and you have been given the info for a family, please reach out!

If you would like to adopt a family, contact Misty Bone. Or, to make a donation to this project, send a check to the church office (please note that it is for the Wild Plum Christmas Basket project).
UMW 2020 Reading Program Readers REMINDER
The Reading Program books for 2020 have been placed on the library table in the Gallery for easy check-out. Just fill in the book card and place it in the green holder on the table. When you bring the book back, please place the card back in the book and leave it on the table. I will need your name and the number of books read by December 1st in order to submit the report to the District.

The books are available for any interested reader, even if you are not participating in the program. However, I would ask that the books be checked out for a maximum of two weeks as we have few available books at the present time. The books can be accessed during church office hours or at any time if you have a key to the front door.

If anyone has any questions, please e-mail me at sy3473@comcast.net or call me at 720-684-6185. Thanks so much and happy reading.

A PICTURE IS WORTH
A THOUSAND WORDS
2021 will be an exciting year as we celebrate 150 years of the Methodist Church in Longmont. Recording our history is an important part of our celebration. Pictures will help highlight our history. If you have pictures related to church event, a committee would like to review them for possible use in our 150th historic booklet. You may leave them at the church office or contact Ann Yoder (303 772-8294) for more information.
