"The Solemnity of Christ the King marks the last Sunday of Ordinary Time. This feast day is the reminder to us that as the baptized, we are called to be open to Christ so that He might live and reign as sovereign King in every aspect of our personhood: in our heart, our mind, our life, our relationships, our school, our work. Everything is His, and His kingdom needs to soak into our lives!
One chief way this is done is to prayerfully live the sacramental life of the Church. The sacraments are tangible encounters with the living Lord Jesus. In them, and in their celebration, His life touches our lives. And not just as individuals but as a community of faith. Consequently, that happens not on our own in isolation but as the family of God, especially gathered to celebrate Sunday Mass. That is how our faith has been lived and practiced since the days of the first house churches established by Saint Paul and the other apostles thousands of years ago. And the same is true today!
We must emphasize that the faithful are called to come together for the celebration of Sunday Mass to worship, praise God, and receive the living Eucharistic Lord in Holy Communion together."

Parishioner Assistance Still Needed — Pushpay Deadline Has Passed
Thank you for your consistent giving to our parish. We are grateful for your continued generosity and are excited to announce a new way to give. We value our parish community and want to ensure everyone knows about our new giving platform.
We are moving away from Our Sunday Visitor (OSV) Online Giving and EFT services. We have chosen to contract with Pushpay. We strive to be good stewards of your financial gifts and believe the significantly lower processing fees offered through Pushpay will allow your gift of treasure to support our parishes' mission further. As always, security is a top priority.
We aim to complete this transition process to Pushpay as soon as possible, so we need your help moving your current OSV Online Giving and EFT gifts.
Online Giving (credit cards or bank account)
If you currently donate online (via OSV), please follow the instructions below to set up your recurring gift through Pushpay and cancel your donation through OSV.
EFT (bank account only)
If you currently donate through EFT (donations processed via the Parish Office at Saint Patrick Parish), please follow the instructions below to set up your recurring gift through Pushpay. Then, email Michelle Carpenter to stop your EFT donations.
Envelopes
If you currently give using envelopes at Mass, please consider donating online and setting up an account in Pushpay by clicking the PUSHPAY button below.

Public Input Phase Findings Released
The Seattle Archdiocese released a letter from Archbishop Etienne and a Parish Feedback Report, which synthesizes more than 3,000 pages of feedback from over 700 input session reports and 800 online forms during the Public Input Phase this fall.
The Presbyteral Council, Priest Personnel Board, Oversight Committee, Partners Core team, and Archbishop Etienne made a review of the feedback. As a result, proposed changes emerged for 25 parish families.
Our proposed Parish Family has changed. The Proposed Family 36 document details the proposed change and why it was made.
From now until December 15, there will be a second round of consultation with staff and parishioners with these 25 proposed parish families before a final recommendation is submitted to Archbishop Etienne at the end of the year. Input sessions to address these changes at our parishes will be announced next week. Final parish families will be announced in early 2024.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)
CGS is an approach to faith formation where children 3-12 years old are formed in the Catholic faith in a sacred space called the atrium.
|
Nazareth and Bethlehem
As we approach the season of Advent in the atrium, we will share with the children those stories from the
Holy Bible about his birth. Catechists and children, we come toward the infancy narratives with reverence and awe as we wonder, "Who is this child?"
In November, the children's materials focus on biblical geography. For the most important events of Jesus' life, a three-dimensional, handmade relief model of the Land of Israel is used.
|
To learn more about CGS at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, visit the atrium, serve or train as a catechist, email Kim Ward, CGS Coordinator, or call 253-274-4108.
For more information, visit the national CGS Association and the local consortium website, The Sheepfold.

Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
It is fitting to honor Mary as the Mother of Jesus, following the birth of Christ; we are not only honoring Mary, who was chosen among all women throughout history to bear God incarnate, but we are also honoring our Lord, who is fully God and fully human.

Hallow
We've partnered with Hallow to encourage all parishioners to surrender it all this Advent season and prepare their hearts for Jesus like never before with readings from the works of C.S. Lewis, voiced by award-winning actor and the voice of Aslan in the Narnia movies, Liam Neeson. Jonathan Roumie and Sr. Miriam James Heidland, SOLT, will guide us through prayer and reflection on these powerful writings to prepare our hearts for Christmas and rediscover the wonder of Christ's coming into this world and into our hearts.
Hallow is the #1 Catholic app worldwide and includes 1,000 prayer sessions available for free and over 10,000 audio-guided sessions in an upgraded premium subscription. Hallow is designed to help you grow closer to God and develop a daily habit of prayer. It includes prayers for kids and families, resources for mental health, meditations for sleep, seasonal music, multiple languages (including Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish!), daily trivia, podcast-style courses to learn more about faith, and more!
