The 2024 NH Legislative Session begins on January 3rd. Did you know that, as of this week, 880 bills ("legislative service requests") have been filed by NH's 424 state legislators? They include the good, the bad and the truly ugly when it comes to caring (or not!) for our neighbors and building beloved community (or tearing it down). Our UCC perspective of love and compassion is needed in this process! Therefore, the Economic Justice Mission Group invites YOU to join us, and our faith partners, for our NH Voices of Faith Annual Planning Meeting on THURSDAY DEC. 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the Conference office (light lunch at 12:30 p.m.). This is a time when we make plans for our moral voice to be active in the public square as the Legislature meets and deliberates. There is a Zoom option for our meeting, too. REGISTER HERE.

We strongly encourage newcomers to the legislative process to join us -- and our session will include tips and techniques for effective advocacy and demystifying the legislative process.

The UCC Council for Climate Justice is convening a Climate Action Commissioning Service as our members across the country launch into advancing climate justice in 2024. The preacher for this event will be Nellis Kennedy-Howard who once worked alongside Winona LaDuke as the Co-Executive Director of Honor the Earth in addition to later working as the Sierra Club’s Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. Sign-up to join us for this online event on Wednesday, January 3^rd at 1 pm ET.
