Teh Lee, NP, Chief Nurse, USAF Reserve & Prepare NP

Teh Lee joined the US Air Force Reserve in 2011, driven by a desire to serve with purpose and combine military service with his professional expertise as an RN and NP. Commissioned as a Captain due to his advanced credentials, he has served for over 14 years and is currently the Chief Nurse of the 349th Aeromedical Staging Squadron at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Ca. In his leadership role, he oversees approximately 140 personnel, including 25 nurses, over 70 medical technicians, as well as PharmD, MD, logistics and admin staff. His unit plays a critical role in military medical readiness--providing staging care for wounded service members who are stable enough for transport back to the US. Teh was deployed to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan for many months and also his team supported national responses efforts during the height of COVID-19 pandemic in NYC. Outside his miliary duties, Lee serves as an NP at the PREPARE clinic where he continues to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to underserved population.

Chemotherapy Informed Consent Documentation
During the Joint Commission survey in June, documentation of chemotherapy informed consent conversations was not consistently present in provider notes as required by UCSF Informed Consent policy 6.02.02. UCSF will be implementing a standardized dot phrase for physicians to use when documenting chemotherapy consent conversations in the medical record. This will accompany a chemotherapy consent form and signature workflow to ensure full compliance with policy requirements. At this time, this change does not impact pediatric oncology services.

Parnassus Pharmacy New Operating Hours
UCSF Health Parnassus Pharmacy (500 Parnassus, J level) will be operating new hours Mon-Fri 830pm-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm.
Meds to Beds services will continue to be available 7 days a week to support patient discharges and transitions of care. You can start sending all medications to EPIC name :UCSF RXAMB PARNSSUS PHARMACY). Specialty pharmacy will no longer be open on weekends for medication pickup. Read more.
