De-Stress for Success: Stress Awareness Month


April is recognized as National Stress Awareness Month to bring attention to the negative impact of stress. Managing stress is an essential component of a healthy lifestyle - especially for college students. Join Coastline's Student Mental Health Services in recognizing Stress Awareness Month and learn how you can best manage your stress for a healthy, successful college semester (and beyond)!

Be the Voice of the Class of 2025 as a Student Speaker or Singer at the 2025 Coastline Commencement Ceremony!


Are you ready to inspire your fellow graduates? Coastline is looking for a Commencement Speaker and Singer for the 2025 Commencement Ceremony!


The selected speaker will be invited to share their journey in a powerful 5-minute speech, and the singer will perform up to two songs to help make the ceremony unforgettable. The selected speaker will also receive the Vice President's Scholarship of $450!


Apply now by the new deadline of Monday, Apr. 14th (TOMORROW!)! Applications include a brief summary or outline of your speech (for speakers) or a performance clip (for singers).

This year’s summit theme is "We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For: The LGBTQ+ CCC Revolution." Together, we will explore innovative ideas and best practices to create more inclusive and affirming spaces within our community colleges. Join us in person for Day Two of the summit as we come together to connect and learn. Feel free to stop by as your schedule allows and take the opportunity to learn, connect, and engage at your own pace. Light refreshments and lunch will be provided for all attendees. ASG Meeting

Associated Student Government (ASG) meetings are open to students, college employees, and the public. The meetings are a great opportunity to get involved in student leadership, learn about happenings at Coastline College, and share perspectives during public forum, a time reserved for members of the public to address the ASG on issues on or not already appearing on the agenda.

Denied Admission?! Appeal!

Being on the receiving end of an admission denial notification is heartbreaking. You completed all your major coursework and submitted a competitive application; yet were denied admission. End of story? NO! Submit an APPEAL! Learn how to advocate for yourself through the appeals process: when to appeal, how to write the appeal, and what documents are needed to give yourself another opportunity for admission.

College Readiness: Follow-Up Workshop

Join us for a follow-up session focused exclusively on Math skills within the College Readiness Program! This workshop will provide strategies for using personalized study plans effectively, additional tips for mastering key Math concepts, and guidance on making steady progress as you prepare for transfer-level Math courses. You’ll also have the chance to share your experience with other peers, discuss your challenges, and offer recommendations to help others succeed.

Your Associated Student Government (ASG) is the official voice of the student body. To effectively represent Coastline students, we need your involvement. If you have a desire to make a difference, join a great team of student leaders, and improve your leadership skills, ASG is a great option to explore, and elections are happening now! Positions include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Commissioner of Public Relations, Campus Senators, Equity Senator, Distance Learning Senator, Legislative Affairs Senator, and Campus Clubs Senator. Check out the ASG officer duties & descriptions to find out more about each position. Are you interested in running for an ASG office? You are strongly encouraged to join an upcoming ASG meeting to learn more about ASG and how you can run for an ASG Officer position! Calling All 1st-Gen STEM Majors: The Coastline MESA Program is Here!

MESA provides support services for underrepresented students pursuing degrees in calculus-based STEM majors through specialized academic advising, community building, tutoring, supplies, and more! Do you identify as a 1st generation college student? Are you eligible to receive need-based financial aid? Are you looking to transfer to a four-year university for your 1st bachelor's degree? Are you in a calculus-based STEM major at Coastline? If you answered yes to all of these questions, you are eligible to apply to MESA! Coastline College’s Pace+ program is a direct assessment, competency-based program that allows students to leverage their personal and professional experience to earn their credential faster. This fully online program allows students to work on their own schedule, at their own pace, while being fully supported by faculty and staff at Coastline.
