This Sunday, 12/19 at 11 a.m. - noon (EST)

A Meaningful Journey Through the Advent Season
We hope you will join us tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m.

We celebrate Advent as a time of spiritual preparation for the birth of the Christ. Unity founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore understood Christmas as a season of great joy and expectancy but also viewed it as a time for inner celebration when the Christ is born in human hearts. "It does not belong to the past; it is a vital, living, present Truth. The bringing forth of the Christ child is not a work that is finished in Bethlehem. It is taking place in our midst every day. It is this we celebrate."      ~Published in the December 1919 issue of Unity Magazine

"Embracing Christmas"

by James Dillet Freeman

Christmas is a flowering. Ancient truths, too important, warm, and deep for words—truths about ourselves, about our world, about our lives—have found expression in these lovely forms that are our ways of celebrating Christmas.

They were planted in our minds long, long ago, some beyond all known events or recorded memories, and they have grown through many centuries. They have grown because they satisfy in natural and joyous ways our happy fancies and our deep-down needs.

"Keep your face to the sun and you will never see the shadows."
--Helen Keller

"We cannot live a choice-less life. Every day, every moment, every second, there is choice. If it were not so we would not be individuals."
--Ernest Holmes

Have you noticed yourself getting a little "grinchy" during the holidays? All we need is a little Christmas love.

p.s. This could be the most important thing you do today! 💙

This is my prayer for you this Christmas:

May there always be room in your heart for divinity to find a birthing place.
May you be holy as the angels were,
faithful as the shepherds were,
humble as the cattle were,
wise as the Wise Men were.
May you have the compassion Mary had
and the understanding Joseph had,
and may the blessing of the Christ child be yours,
not because of His birth night long ago,
but because His love is born in you today!

Unity's Five Basic Principles

We encourage you to explore and apply Unity teachings based on your own spiritual understanding. We believe this spiritual understanding is enhanced through reflective prayer and meditation.

The five basic ideas that make up the Unity belief system are:

  1. There is only one Presence and one Power active as the Universe and in my life, God the Good.
  2. Our essence is of God; therefore we are inherently good. This God essence was fully expressed in Jesus, the Christ.
  3. We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in Mind.
  4. Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.
  5. Through thoughts, words, and actions, we live the Truth we know.
