CONNECT WITH A TRANSFER SPECIALIST

Iva Millsap successfully transferred from ACC in the fall of 2022 and joined Texas Tech as a junior. She expects to graduate in Spring 2026. While she is pursuing her studies at Texas Tech, she remains affiliated with ACC as she works part time behind the admissions front desk at the Northridge Campus.

Iva’s advice to students aspiring to transfer to Texas Tech: “One piece of advice is to take advantage of the in-person workshop Texas Tech hosts. I went to that, and you can fill out your application right then and there!”

Victor Gonzalez, ACC Transfer Specialist, finds it exciting to speak with students who have questions about transfer for the first time. He loves simplifying the transfer process to students and lessening their uncertainties.

His advice to students: “Identify which schools you want to attend as early as possible in your journey and really become familiar with what is the profile of a student who is commonly admitted to that institution. If you are able to clearly define what success is, you can implement a strategy that puts you in the best possible position to achieve your ideal transfer.”
