This is a crucial reminder to complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) by 30th June. This is a contractual requirement for NHS-funded services and ensures compliance with legal and data security standards.
Why DSPT is Essential:
- Evaluates your data security policies.
- Required for NHS-funded services.
- Recognised by government bodies and regulatory authorities.
If you have not registered on the DSPT, check that you have:
- an email address (we suggest you use a generic one rather than a personal or individual address that is easily accessible by staff within the care business)

your ODS Code. You can look this up by visiting the ODS portal or by visiting our short guide on ODS codes.
- your Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) registration number. You must be registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
