The First Bank Tinsel Trail opened on Friday night with 300+ people in attendance. Visitors were welcomed to singing by the Mennonite Children's Choir surrounded by the beautiful trees of the Tinsel Trail. Santa greeted guests while shoppers enjoyed a holiday marketplace at The Kyle House. The historic backdrop of Fincastle made for a memorable holiday experience. Many guests shared with us how much they enjoyed opening night.
We are grateful for all the support we received making it possible to hold this event! Thank you to: Deputy Mason from the Botetourt County Sheriff's office, the businesses that sponsored trees, Ricky Dowdy of Botetourt County and his work on the electrical hookups and providing much needed supplies to the event, our Santa Gary Larrowe, Amanda and Jim Schaal for catering and opening up The Kyle House, Historic Fincastle, Inc. for allowing use of Wysong Park, Fincastle Town Manager David Tickner, Kate Stevens and the Future Farmer's of America for volunteering to assist guests during the event, and the Botetourt County Historical Museum for their lovely holiday open house. We are also grateful for the sponsorships of First Bank, Safehouse Signs, Inc., and Wiegandt & Doubles, Attorneys at Law.
