IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Please update the School Dismissal Manager and also inform your child's teacher of their MAP schedule
  • You must notify MAP if your child will not be attending on his or her regularly scheduled day - the school will not let us know. Notifying MAP before dismissal time will save us from spending time looking for your child and making phone calls during a VERY BUSY time of day! Please email or call anytime, our voicemail is always on.
  • At DROP-OFF & PICK-UP: Please sign your child in or out and note the time every day. Remember to notify us when someone different will be picking up your child. Everyone picking up will need to show ID until we all get to know you.
  • Whenever possible, please mail tuition payments directly to the MAP office at P.O. Box 18, Medfield. There is a box on the sign-out table for other important notes, sign-ups, and papers.
  • Deadlines: It is important to pay attention to the deadlines for signing up for special MAP days. These days are open to all currently enrolled MAP children. Signing up after the deadline may result in being placed on a wait list for the day as well as an additional fee.
  • Please send any billing questions to MAPOfficeBilling@gmail.com

What to Bring

  • Jump Starters and Half Day Ks who eat lunch at MAP should bring food that is ready to eat (MAP teachers will not handle food to heat up, cut, or prepare)
  • SEVERAL SNACKS! Your child will be hungrier than you could ever imagine. It may be helpful to pack a couple of things separately and label them "MAP" so they don't get eaten at school. MAP will also provide snacks during the afternoon.
  • Extra clothes - it is always a good idea for children to keep a small bag of extra clothes in their backpack
  • Sunscreen and/or bug spray if you would like your child to apply it (it is important for families to teach their child to self-apply sunscreen; MAP teachers will help with bug spray)
  • Weather appropriate clothes and shoes - we will go outside every day if possible! And we have a mud kitchen, we play in the woods, we roll, climb, and play in water - we may get messy!
  • An extra layer, like a fleece or sweatshirt - we will keep our air filtration system running constantly, in addition to spending a lot of time outside!
  • Did we mention SNACKS? Lots of SNACKS!

WHO'S WHO AT MAP?

MEGHAN JACKSON - PROGRAM DIRECTOR

It’s hard to believe that I completed my 25th year at MAP last year – must be a great place to work! I studied Early Childhood Education and Human Development at BC. I love teaching at MAP, working with a great team of teachers, and fantastic children and families. I live in Medfield with my daughters, Maya (10th Grade) and Jordan (8th Grade), and our cats Smokey and the Bandit. When I’m not at MAP, I am an unpaid Uber driver, cheerleader at high school volleyball games, dance mom, maid, handyman, landscaper, and short-order cook! I am excited for another year at MAP, learning and growing while we play!

SCOTT RIZZO

Welcome back MAP families!! My name is Scott Rizzo and I am beyond excited to be sharing in this great school year with all of you. I can't wait to start this school year with a blast of energy and provide a fun learning environment. I am a young and spirited person who has enjoyed working with school aged children for the last 11 years. I graduated from Roanoke College (VA.) with a B.A. in History and Political Science. I reside locally in Dedham. I am an uncle of 6 with two amazing sisters. I enjoy ice hockey among most sports, running, charity work, and sitting on the beach staring at the ocean. This past summer I lived in Dennis, MA and worked at Brewster Day Camp. My favorite memories were of my friends and I taking boat rides at sunset, and swimming in the ocean. I was engaged in numerous unbelievable adventures with my summer CITs at my Cape Cod summer day camp. I accomplished 3 road races, caught a 40inch bass, stayed up past my bedtime and I volunteered at the Pan Mass challenge.I live, love, play hockey, GO BRUINS! If there is a competitive game, chances are I am in the thick of it. If there is anyone who needs help mastering the game of corn-hole, do not hesitate to ask. I am very excited to be back for this school year  and to make some lasting memories. If there is anything more you would like to know about me, just ask a friendly question.
