How is it already Spring Break next week?

Over March 15-30, the library will have programs for kids, teens and families.


See what's going on below to find something for you! Most activities are just drop in - no registration required.

 

🌸Spring Break for Kids 


  • All break, come to the library to try your hand at a search and find, or scavenger hunt to win a prize! 

  • We're hosting two National Film Board screenings over spring break. These animated film compilations are suitable for all ages.
  • Thursday, March 20 | 12:30 to 1:30 pm: Family Stories
  • Thursday, March 27 | 12:30 to 1:30 pm: Cats Everywhere


🌸Spring Break for Teens (ages 13-18)


  • We're hosting Gaming Hour for teens each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Play on Nintendo Switch, retro gaming consoles, enjoy board games, and grab some snacks! We will also have colouring pages for teens.


  • We will have a special Collabyrinth for Teens night on Thursday, March 27 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m!
  • This is a fun event that will have you working in pairs to try to solve a 3D maze. Can your team make it?
  • Registration required.

Birds & Words in the Wild


The "Birds & Words" artist and conservation collaboration continues with the publication of their book, featuring high resolution images of all twenty paintings, and the six poems that made up their recent exhibit.


We have a couple copies in our collection and you can also purchase them at local bookstores in the Sea-to-Sky region.


A portion of the proceeds will go towards Squamish Environment Society’s bird conservation programs.

Zine-Making Workshop: Humans of Squamish

Thursday / March 20 / 6:00 - 8:30 pm


Co-facilitated by zine enthusiasts Trish Kelly and Rachel Bergquist, this hands-on workshop will introduce the personal zine format.


Come create a collaborative zine we'll call Humans of Squamish complete with a selfie taken with the library's polaroid camera.
