Dear ,
Lately I've been reflecting on something I keep seeing... not only in clients and conversations, but honestly, in myself at times too.
Many of us imagine that when life finally slows down, we'll naturally relax.
We think: once this project ends... once summer arrives... once I have more time... then I'll rest.
And yet something interesting often happens.
The schedule opens up a little, but the mind keeps moving. The body still feels tense. We sit down with a coffee by the lake or finally have a quiet moment... and instead of feeling spaciousness, we notice restlessness, guilt, pressure, or the sense that we should be doing something else.
I've been realizing that slowing down isn't always as simple as creating more time.
Many of us have spent years carrying, coping, performing, caring for others, and holding so much together. We become incredibly skilled at moving forward. We learn how to keep functioning. But we don't always learn how to soften.
Perhaps that isn't a personal failure. Maybe it simply means we've been living in rhythms that ask us to stay "on" for a very long time.
That realization has been quietly shaping something I've been creating for this summer... A Summer of Restoring Inner Spaciousness.
This is a gentle space to explore what helps us exhale again... to reconnect with ourselves, rediscover our own rhythm, and create a little more room for what truly matters.
Over the summer we'll move through six gentle movements: Notice, Rest, Digest, Connect, Create, and Integrate.
Each one offers a different doorway into greater spaciousness, steadiness, connection, and aliveness.
