Atlantic Housing Foundation Celebrates Graduates
|
|
Through hard work and dedication, the Spring 2020 Graduate scholarship recipients have helped make a difference each and every year by contributing 40 hours of community service, some going above and beyond that each year, for a total of more than 5,120 hours of service. The graduates volunteer their time at local animal shelters, food pantries, elementary schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, hospitals, and other non-profit organizations around the country. This edition of the New Community Service News is dedicated to celebrating these graduates, and the new recipients of the Atlantic Housing Foundation Fall 2020 scholarship.
Pictured above, Titus Moten, recent graduate from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, proudly shows off his Texas State University Alumni shirt. Titus participated in the Student Volunteer Connection, among other organizations, during his time at Texas State, and he says, "I volunteer more than 40 hours, but only 40 hours are documented" each semester. According to Titus, "
This scholarship has allowed me to focus on the important parts of college, grades and classes. Without the stress of wondering how I will afford rent every month made my college experience so much more enjoyable". When asked if there was anything else he would like to share with other scholarship recipients he said, "Do well in school, enjoy your experience, and count your blessings". Titus has signed up for the first ever scholarship ambassador program at Atlantic Housing Foundation, which will start in the Fall 2020 scholarship cycle. Way to go above and beyond, Titus! We are looking forward to hearing about all the great accomplishments in your future.

Communities Transformed. Two words, endless possibilities.
We started on the shores of South Carolina 20 years ago, and over that time we’ve outgrown our Atlantic borders and transformed hundreds of thousands of lives in six states in 45 communities and 35 cities. With a mission to provide all people with a place to call home, regardless of their financial status, age, and mental or physical well-being, we’ve turned those two words into thousands of possibilities.
Our passion for real change, guided by our sometimes imaginative, often innovative and always trusted process, has helped our residents not only improve their own lives, but improve their communities through their transformation.
We are Atlantic Housing Foundation.
As an organization, we aspire to and believe in MAKING A DIFFERENCE. We strive to help and improve the communities where we work and live. We seek to assist our residents improve their lives through education, service, and community.
