Spark Track Sparks occur randomly in wire-cutting EDM, and the electrical discharge always takes place at the point of the lowest resistance. Spark Track monitors the distribution of the sparks and thereby controls the average process power. Different heights: The ISPS module recognizes difficult machining conditions such as abrupt or progressive height variations and automatically adapts parameters to avoid wire breakage. ISPS Via a sensor, Spark Track collects and detects the sparks' discharge location and their strength. Based on this, ISPS analyzes the data and adjusts the machine setting immediately once the spark quantity exceeds a threshold value. Angled surfaces: Workpieces with angled surfaces often create a non-homogenous flushing condition, which disrupts the machining process and increases the risk of wire breakage. With Spark Track and ISPS, the spark distribution data is analyzed to recognize and accommodate for the change in shape.

With ISPS The machining process is automatically adapted to all critical points without need for operator intervention. There is no need to set up the machining conditions in advance. ISPS uses spark distribution data to improve efficiency, prevent wire breakage and ensure a high level of productivity. Without ISPS The possibility of wire breakage must be considered due to factors such as irregular heights and tapered surfaces.
