It's Opening Week for our Season Opener, Annie!

Leapin' Lizards! Temple Theatre’s Professional Company brings this beloved musical to life on the Mainstage! The comic strip heroine, Annie, is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by Miss Hannigan. Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC and foils Miss Hannigan's evil antics! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

MEET THE ANNIES!

CORA STUMPF (Red Cast)

Cora Stumpf is twelve years old and describes performing as a “jolt of espresso and sunlight!” Cora sang at Carnegie Hall at the NY Pops’ gala honoring Barry Manilow. Favorite Temple credits: A Christmas Carol (Ghost of Christmas Past), Beauty and the Beast (Chip), Oliver! (Nipper). Other credits: CFRT’s Shrek (Young Fiona), Encore Center’s Matilda The Musical (Matilda), Back-to-One Studio’s Illuminations (Daughter), NC Theatre’s Annie (Orphan). Cora loves traveling and reading and eyes future stints on Broadway and in the Oval Office. For training and theatre magic, Cora thanks Gavan Pamer, Peggy Taphorn, and Alison Lawrence. Shout-out to favorite duet partner, brother Jude, and her supportive parents

ISABEL IATAURO (White Cast)

Isabel Iatauro is beyond thrilled to return to Temple Theatre! Her favorite roles include Matilda (Matilda the Musical) at CFRT, Nemo (Finding Nemo JR), Young Scrooge (A Christmas Carol), Small Alice (Alice in Wonderland) and Young Simba (Lion King JR) at Temple Theatre. Other credits: Annie (Annie JR), Matilda (Matilda the Musical) and Veruca Salt (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory). She is a seventh-grade student at West Lee Middle School. Isabel would like to thank Peggy and Gavan for this incredible opportunity and is endlessly thankful to her family, friends and teachers for all their love and support.

The Temple Theatre will be rocking out for a great cause. Pittsboro, NC based non-profit Brightest Light is hosting a fundraiser for the Lee County Special Olympics called Eyes on the Prize. The Lee County Special Olympics is part of Special Olympics North Carolina which is one of the largest Special Olympics programs in the world. Their mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Get your deerstalker cap on — the play’s afoot! Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson must crack the mystery of “The Hound of the Baskervilles” before a family curse dooms its newest heir. Our intrepid investigators try to escape a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises and deceit as five actors deftly portray more than 40 characters. Does a wild hellhound prowl the moors of Devonshire? Can our heroes discover the truth in time? Join the fun and see how far from elementary the truth can be.

It's not Christmas at the Temple without the annual tradition of Christmas with The Embers, featuring Craig Woolard! Join us for a phenomenal Christmas experience featuring the beloved hits you know and love! Temple Theatre is proud to present The Embers featuring Craig Woolard on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 7:30 PM. This will be a special kickoff to your Christmas Season as The Embers present CHRISTMAS WITH THE EMBERS. The Embers will perform songs of the Christmas Season Beach Music Style.
