More advanced young players may wish to participate in MIT's indoor tennis clinics. Check out the schedule here and contact Franz Collas for more information.
Staffing Updates
We are thrilled to welcome a terrific team of young tennis pros who will assist with youth programs and help out at the club this summer. Thank you to (from left to right) Brianna Cotroneo, Abby Morsman, Abby Bailey, Lewis Suchomel, Brian Newton, and Spencer Doran (not pictured) for joining us this summer!

On a less happy note, we are sad to bid adieu to our good friend Karen Trayah. Karen has been a welcoming presence at MIT's front desk for eight years and a key member of our staff. We are so grateful for her countless contributions and boundless good cheer. We wish her well in her new business endeavor; stop by to say hello to her at The Creative Nest, 10 Center Street in Brandon!
A Personal Appeal
Hello Members and Friends,
Middlebury Indoor Tennis is a non-profit organization, and as such, membership support is vital to keeping our club's costs reasonable and our tennis accessible to all. If you have a seasonal or 8-month membership, I invite you to join others who have opted to keep their memberships active year round. This is one way you can support our local club, have a place to play in inclement weather, and give back to our MIT community. To all those who maintain a year round membership during the summer - THANK YOU!!
-Brian McDonough, General Manager

p.s. Note MIT's summer weekend hours are 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Even our members like to play outside when it's nice!
Congrats Tigers!
Congratulations to Middlebury Union High School's Girls and Boys tennis teams for their incredibly successful seasons! Coach Ken Schoen and Assistant Coach Spencer Doran (along with dedicated volunteers and MIT members Chris Murray and David Hamilton) led the team to an impressive 11-1 regular season record. Their season ended in the semi-final round of State playoffs with a loss to St. Johnsbury Academy, the eventual winner of the Boys State Championship. Coach Dan Comar and Assistant Coach Bree Cotroneo led the Tiger Girls through a very strong season as well that culminated in the team's second consecutive appearance in the finals of the Girls State Championship. The team had a thrilling re-match of last year's final match versus Montpelier, and while all played well, Montpelier once again clinched the title. Congratulations to all players on a terrific season!
Pro Shop Arrivals!
Stop by the club's Pro Shop to check out new selections of quality tennis shoes and rackets. We've priced these items competitively to give our members and friends the opportunity to try on shoes and demo rackets, AND to support a terrific LOCAL tennis club that is also a nonprofit!!
