When we work together we get along together. During the course of my career advocating Global Sourcing, I have been to many countries and visited a number of people in a number of companies and I am pleased to say that they have become not only my business partners but my friends as well. One of the things I have learned is no matter where you go in the world people are well, people, just like us. They have jobs, they have families that they are trying to support and in the end they are trying to get by in the best way that they can.
Which is why it disturbs me when the media and yes, our politicians choose to find ways to demonize people we are shall we say, fall out of favor with us. We should all remember citizens and civilians of the world. Sure, for whatever reasons politicians of nations seem to not get along at times, but one thing I know from personal experience is that the people of the world just do not think that way.
I have been and still am treated very well by my friends and business associates in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, India and all the other countries I do business with. I have friends who have done business in Russia and feel that same way about the citizens of that country regardless of its’ politicians and leaders.
My point is that I honestly believe that Global Sourcing is an initiative that goes far beyond merely buying the best-valued goods and services from other parts of the country. Nope, Global Sourcing represents a far greater mission, that of peoples of all countries working together in universal partnership to make the world a better, safer, and more peaceful place. When you do business with people from another country you are not only getting the best products and values available, you are also promoting a mission of peace and in the end prosperity.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all of our global partners, from the vendors to the customers we appreciate your business, and we appreciate what you are doing to promote a safer and friendlier world.
