Show us your wild side! Between now and July 31, Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism invites you to submit your wildest photo of the parks!

You may submit images in any of these categories:

• Birds

• Mammals

• Baby Animals (young of any species)

• Other Wildlife (underwater life, reptiles, amphibians, insects, spiders, macro and more)

• Young Photographers (ages 7-17)

Contest Rules & Eligibility

• Photo(s) must be taken at a Prince William County Park or Recreation Facility (Please note: Leesylvania State Park and Prince William Forest Park are not managed by Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism)
• Photo(s) submitted after July 31 will not be entered into the contest
• Photo(s) must include the name of the park or facility
• Photo(s) must be your own
• Photographers may submit up to two images total per category into the contest; Entries must be clear, high-resolution and at least 1080x1920 pixels. Maximum file size is 50 MB per image.
• By submitting images, you are confirming that you have all legal rights to the image, and understand that submitted images may be used by Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism ("DPRT") in printed materials, websites and on social media. DPRT offers no compensation for any images or videos.

Suggested Parks

Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism is home to wildlife spread out over 4,400+ acres of land. PWC RecMapper is a great tool to find the best parks to photograph wildlife. A few popular parks favored by local area photographers include Silver Lake Regional Park, Neabsco Creek Boardwalk and Lake Ridge Park & Marina.

Winners

Winners for each category will be determined by the most number of “votes” on an image during the specified timeframe (June 15 - July 31, 2023). If there is a "tie" in any category, both images with the highest number of votes for that category will be selected as winners and will receive recognition. Winners will be announced via Facebook. Twitter, Instagram and NextDoor (@pwcparks) on Friday, August 18, 2023. Winners will be notified via the contact information provided at time of entry.
