Ya Muqallib al-Qulub: The Changer of Hearts

﷽
Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, verily you would have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes that We propound to men that they may reflect.

Sayyidina ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab (ر)
2nd Caliph
On 25 Dhul-Ḥijjah 23 AH/ 644 CE, while leading the Fajr prayer in Masjid an-Nabawi, Sayyidina ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab (ر) was fatally attacked. His assailant, Abu Luʾluʾah al-Majusi, a Persian slave, stabbed him multiple times with a double-bladed dagger. Despite his grievous wounds, ʿUmar appointed a council to select his successor before passing away the following day, the 26 Dhul-Hijjah . He is buried beside the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr as-Ṣidiq (ر) in Masjid an-Nabawi, Madinah.
The Power of One Ayah: The Light That Entered the Heart of Sayyidina ʿUmar al-Khaṭṭāb (ر)
MAWLANA SHAYKH HISHAM KABBANI
Sayyidina ʿUmar (ر) was at first completely opposed to Islam, but then, when he heard one ayah, what happened? He changed.
Sayyidina ʿUmar (ر) was known for being firm, perhaps even tough or stubborn, holding onto his belief in his religion at that time. When he heard his sister had accepted Islam, he could not accept it, and went to her house in anger, storming into her house in a way that frightened her.
Narrating this incident, Sayyidina ʿUmar’s sister said, “Allah gave me the courage to answer him for the first time; I used to never talk back to my brother, but Allah gave me the power to answer him.”
Whoever holds the Holy Qur’an in their hands will not fear anyone.
Sayyidina ʿUmar (ر) thought, “How can my sister shout at me? Where did she get this courage?”
He restrained himself and didn't argue with his sister, for just then imaan began to enter his heart and he accepted Islam. Why? Because the Prophet ﷺ had asked Allah to give him ʿUmar al-Khattaab (ر).
That was due to one ayah of Holy Qur'an. So what then do you think of 6,666 ayats?

Sayyidina ʿUthman ibn ʿAffān ر
3rd Caliph
| |
|
On 11 Dhu al-Ḥijjah 35 AH / 656 CE, during a period of intense political unrest, ʿUthman ibn ʿAffan (ر) was martyred in his home in Madinah, while reading the Qur’an.
He was attacked by rebels who had laid siege to his house for weeks. Despite calls for retaliation, he forbade his supporters from fighting back, choosing patience and trust in Allah’s will. His blood fell on the open pages of the Qur’an, a sign often cited as his devotion and sacrifice for Islam.
He was buried in Jannat al-Baqīʿ under quiet, difficult conditions. His death marked a major turning point in Islamic history and the beginning of the first fitnah (civil strife).

Shaykh Nour's Eid al-Adha Khutba
This story reflects the intimate dialogue between Allah (ﷻ) and Sayyidina Musa (ع):
“O Musa, make My servants love Me.”
Sayyidina Musa (ع) replied, “O my Lord, how can I make them love You, when hearts are in Your Hands?”
Allah (ﷻ) answered, “Remind them of My favors, for when you mention My favors, love will enter their hearts.”
| | |
Love is in the hands of Allah (ﷻ), the hearts of human beings belong to Allah. So if you have a problem with somebody don't yell at them and curse them. Instead say,
"Ya Rabbi, مُقَلِّبُ القُلُوب, change their hearts.
Change the heart of kings to goodness, the hearts of the prime ministers to goodness. Change the hearts of my boss, change the hearts of my parents and siblings to goodness."
The mission of all messengers and all saints is to make the servants of Allah (ﷻ) love Him. They take us to the love of Our Creator.
If you remember Allah's blessings, remember that He is the One who grants you success in this life, with humility and gratitude, then Allah (ﷻ) will bring you closer to Him through your actions. If you come one handspan towards Allah (ﷻ), He will approach you by an armspan. This will increase your love, because Allah (ﷻ) is loving you.
If you are in disobedience, corruption, or if you are someone who creates problems in communities, Allah (ﷻ) does not love you. But if Allah (ﷻ) loves you, and you thank Him, He will allow you to enter into His Divine Presence.
Inshallah, may we be the Lucky Ones who remember the favors of our Lord.

This book is the summary of Prophetic medicinal knowledge in a very brief form, and it is sufficient to follow it with sincere belief to achieve the cures contained in it. | | |
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, mentioned that Allah made for every sickness a remedy.
Many have witnessed illnesses cured by the remedies prescribed by Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani. These cures come from the Prophet ﷺ: it is Prophetic Medicine that so many people are using today under the names “alternative medicine”, "Yunani medicine", "traditional medicine" or other names.
When you go into seclusion and become well trained, every sickness comes before you and says, “I am this type of sickness and the remedy for me is this.” According to the level of the one performing seclusion, there will be prescriptions coming from heavenly sources for many difficult medical situations. Shaykh Nazim is carrying such knowledge of Prophetic Medicine, Tibb an-Nabawiyya, that he has inherited by his spiritual connection with the Prophet, peace be upon him, through his chain of saints from whom he took his permission (ijazah).
